Shadwell homebred NAZEEF carried His Highness Sheikh Hamdan’s silks to a brave success in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket on July 10.

The four-year-old daughter of INVINCIBLE SPIRIT has now won six races in a row and is unbeaten this season, having also taken the Listed Snowdrop Fillies’ Stakes at Kempton and Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Jim Crowley said after delivering NAZEEF to her neck victory over BILLESDON BROOK and TEREBELLUM: β€œShe’s absolutely tough as nails and has done nothing but improve with every run. She’s a real looker – gorgeous – and she just really wants to win.”

NAZEEF is out of Listed Garnet Stakes winner HANDASSA, a DUBAWI half-sister to Pattern winners DESERT STONE and EUGINIO from the family of Group 1-winning sprinter half-brothers GOODRICKE and PASTORAL PURSUITS.

Her sire INVINCIBLE SPIRIT is represented in the Shadwell stallion ranks by his Commonwealth Cup-winning son EQTIDAAR, who covered his first book of mares at the Nunnery Stud this year.
