BAHRI retired from stud duties

BAHRI won both the Queen Elizabeth II and the St James Palace Stakes in 1995 and went on to sire multiple Gr.1 and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner SAKHEE in the early part of his stud career.

BAHRI started his career at Shadwell Farm LLC (Kentucky) until in 2003 he transferred to Derrinstown Stud (Ireland).  He later moved to Frank and Susan Corbett’s Girsonfiled Stud and Racing in Northumberland where he served the remainder of his career.

After completing his 2015 breeding season, the decision was jointly taken to retire BAHRI on the grounds of declining fertility.

Susan Corbett, Girsonfield Stud commented:

“We would like to thank Shadwell for their support by sending BAHRI to us.  Thank you to all the breeders who supported the horse throughout his time at Girsonfield.”

BAHRI will retire to Shadwell.
