The first foals by Group 1 winner MUKHADRAM were extremely well received at the 2016 Tattersalls December Foal Sale.

Following the first day of trade at Tattersalls, first crop sire MUKHADRAM was the leading sire (by aggregate). At the end of 4 days of selling, MUKHADRAM was only one of 3 first crop sires in the top 10 leading sires, with an average of 31,208 Guineas from just a £7,000 stud fee.

Consigned by Petches Farm on day two, lot 750 (pictured), a quality first foal out of winning mare MY INSPIRATION realised a top price for the sire of 120,000 gns. Purchased by Shadwell Estate Company Ltd, the colt was one of only three foals by a first season sire to fetch over £100,000 gns.

Meanwhile, lot 727, a filly out of stakes producing mare NUTKIN was knocked down for 55,000 gns from Tara Stud to Peter & Ross Doyle. Also fetching 55,000 gns was Lot 1099, a smashing colt out of winning mare VIOLET. The half-brother to Group 2 winner Starlark was consigned by Genesis Green Stud and purchased by Farranamanagh/Howson & Houldsworth Bloodstock.
