Romsey: the daughter of Mukhadram has been a model of consistency in 2019

ROMSEY, a two-year-old filly from the second crop of Nunnery Stud resident MUKHADRAM, gained a deserved black-type victory in the Listed Winterkonigin-Trial at Dusseldorf on Sunday.

Trained by Hughie Morrison for The End-R-Ways Partnership and Partners, she had run with credit in the Star Stakes, Sweet Solera Stakes and Prestige Stakes earlier in the season.

"It was a good performance," said Morrison of the filly, who was bred by The Lavington Stud. "She seemed to cope well with the ground as this was much softer than she's faced, and she proved she's slightly better than her unlucky runs in England. She's progressing and the further she went, the better she went."

ROMSEY becomes the second black-type winner for MUKHADRAM after US Grade 3 scorer A BIT SPECIAL. The sire has also delivered the Listed-placed duo CABALLERO CHOPPER and GLOVES LYNCH, and smart performers AWEEDRAM, JAHBATH and SECRET STASH.

MUKHADRAM continues to distinguish himself as an estimable value stallion, especially in a season that his sire SHAMARDAL has shone so brightly thanks to his superstar progeny BLUE POINT, EARTHLIGHT and PINATUBO.
