Mohaather: a Group winner at two, three and four

Last year’s brilliant Sussex Stakes hero MOHAATHER received a glittering book of 146 mares in his first season standing as a Shadwell stallion at Nunnery Stud in 2021.

Among the Group/Grade 1 winners covered by the well-bred son of SHOWCASING were:

  • GHANAATI (won the 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes)
  • MAIDS CAUSEWAY (won Coronation Stakes)
  • MAJMU (won L Jaffee Empress Club Stakes and Cape Fillies’ Guineas)
  • NAZEEF (won Falmouth Stakes and Sun Chariot Stakes).

MOHAATHER was also sent five dams of Group/Grade 1 winners, namely:

  • ASHEERAH (dam of AWTAAD)
  • BROM FELINITY (dam of WALTON STREET)
  • BRUXCALINA (dam of LIBRISA BREEZE)
  • FURBELOW (dam of ADVERTISE)
  • LOMAPAMAR (dam of URBAN FOX)

MOHAATHER’S introductory book also contained stakes winners CARTIMANDUA, CRYSTAL GAL, DIVORCES, FADHAYYIL, FATALISTE, LINCOLN ROCKS, MUTATIS MUTANDIS, NAFAAYES, PLEASE SING, RAYMI COYA, RICHENZA, ROSE BLOSSOM, SEEHARN, SELL OUT, SEOLAN, SWEET CECILY and TERRE DU VENT.

His debut mares also included the dams of stakes winners ATEEM, CONNECT, FASHION QUEEN, LA HOGUETTE, LA RIOJA, NISREEN, ROMSEY, SAN HUBERTO, SIR BORIS, STRAIGHT ANSWER, TAMMANI, TROPICAL TREAT, VENTURA MIST, VENTURA REBEL, YOURTIMEISNOW and ZAMAN.

MOHAATHER covered numerous other well-bred mares besides, including full- or half-sisters to Group/Grade 1 winners CITYSCAPE, HAVANA GOLD, KUTUB, LEND A HAND, MUARRAB, MUSTASHRY, SQUARE EDDIE, THE TIN MAN, TWILIGHT SON and ZOFFANY.

Furthermore, he also received daughters of Classic heroines FINSCEAL BEO, NEBRASKA TORNADO and TA RIB.

MOHAATHER’S pedigree has received another boost in recent weeks thanks to the victory of MADAME TANTZY, out of his half-sister ROODLE, in the Listed Hyde Stakes at Kempton.

The stallion, a Group winner at two, three and four and the best son of his sire, is standing his second season at Nunnery Stud in 2022 at a fee of £15,000, alongside the high-class sprinters EQTIDAAR and TASLEET.
