Merveilleux Lapin a new Stakes winner for Mohaather
Glenderry also became his 17th individual winner when he scored in a highly competitive Dundalk maiden
Mohaather became the first freshman sire in Europe this year to record three individual stakes winners when Merveilleux Lapin battled bravely to score in the Listed Alson-Trophy at Hanover on Sunday.
Merveilleux Lapin was bred by Treadstone Bloodstock and Tally-Ho Stud, and is trained in Poland by Maciej Jodlowski for Patryk Gorczyca. She had recently won the most valuable two-year-old race in her home country in the fastest time for 15 years, hence the foreign raid.
Merveilleux Lapin joins Molecomb Stakes victor Big Mojo – who is set to contest the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Del Mar on Friday – and Rose Bowl Stakes scorer Yah Mo Be There as a table-topping third black-type winner for Mohaather.
The Beech House Stud-based sire is also responsible for Rockfel Stakes runner-up Serving With Style, Arqana sales race winner Mojave River and three-time scorers Chesneys Charm and Corriamo.
Mohaather is finishing the season with a flourish, as Glenderry became his 17th individual winner when he scored in a highly competitive Dundalk maiden on Friday for Jack Davison.
