Serving With Style overcame an unpromising early position and trouble in running to burst past her rivals and record a decisive victory in the 7f fillies’ maiden at Carlisle on Thursday, becoming a first winner for Shadwell stallion Mohaather in the process.
Serving With Style, making her debut for trainer Karl Burke and owners Victorious Racing and Fawzi Nass, was sent off a strongly fancied 13-8 favourite in spite of some of her rivals having more racecourse experience.
The attractive bay filly was bred by Parks Farm Stud out of the winning King’s Best mare Queens Park, also dam of Listed winner Sir Boris and other multiple scorer Almadrina. She was bought by Oliver St Lawrence from the Barton Stud draft at the Goffs Doncaster Premier Yearling Sale for £75,000.

Mohaather has seven other placed two-year-olds to his credit, including Yah Mo Be There, who finished a short-head second to the useful Andesite on debut and was sent off among the leading fancies for the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Mohaather, a Showcasing full-brother to dual US Grade 2 winner Prize Exhibit and half-brother to Roodle, the dam of Queen Anne Stakes hero Accidental Agent, was a Pattern winner at two, three and four.
His finest hour came when he showed a fine turn of foot to defeat Circus Maximus, Siskin and Kameko in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood at four, suggesting his stock will keep improving.
