Shadwell can confirm that Mostahdaf, the joint top-rated horse in Europe in 2023, has had his first five mares scanned in foal.
The son of Frankel retired after a stellar racing career which included eight Stakes victories. In 2023 he completed an outstanding Group 1 double when triumphing in two of Europe’s premier races, the Prince of Wales’s Stakes, becoming the highest-rated winner of the race since Dubai Millennium in 2000, and the Juddmonte International Stakes defeating multiple Group 1 winners Paddington and Nashwa. He became only the second horse in 50 years to win both contests in the same season.
