Shadwell on the passing of His Highness the Aga Khan
Everyone connected to the Shadwell operation would like to pass on their deepest condolences to the Aga Khan's family, friends and followers.
Shadwell are deeply saddened by the passing of His Highness the Aga Khan, one of the most important owners and breeders in the history of horse racing.
A leading philanthropist, he will also be remembered for his global humanitarian work which aided those in need and as the spiritual leader of the Nizari Ismaeli community.
The iconic green and red silks belonging to Prince Karim Al-Hussaini and his father and grandfather before him, have been carried to victory by a plethora of Champions including Shergar, Shahrastani, Sinndar and Zarkava, only naming a few.
Shadwell and its founder, Sheikh Hamdan, have enjoyed a much cherished relationship with the Aga Khan and his studs for over 40 years.
