We owed Her Majesty so much, she was a great friend
Sheikha Hissa on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
On behalf of Shadwell Studs and myself, I wish to express our sincere sadness on learning of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to convey our deepest condolences to the royal family.
Shadwell Thoroughbreds have owed much to Her Majesty ever since my father, the late Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, acquired Height Of Fashion from the royal stables.
Their shared love of the thoroughbred and passion for our sport had no limit and Her Majesty, without exception, took great interest in the Shadwell homebreds whenever they met at the races or on my father’s visits to Windsor Castle.
– Sheikha Hissa Bint Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Head of Shadwell Estate
