Baaeed and Minzaal yearlings to go under the hammer at Tattersalls Book 1
"Some 23 lots from the debut crop of Baaeed feature in the catalogue..."
Outstanding World Champion turf horse Baaeed and top-class sprinter Minzaal are well represented in Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Some 23 lots from the debut crop of Baaeed feature in the catalogue, all of whom have first-rate pedigrees, as would be expected when the son of Sea The Stars covered an introductory book of exceptional quality on the Shadwell roster.
Baaeed became the highest-rated horse in Europe for more than a decade for his wide-margin victory over a stellar field in the Juddmonte International. He scored in five Group 1 races over a mile besides, namely the Prix du Moulin, Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, Lockinge Stakes, Queen Anne Stakes and Sussex Stakes.
Baaeed is also an outstanding physical with a brilliant pedigree, being a full-brother to dual Group 1 winner Hukum out of Aghareed, a Listed-winning daughter of Kingmambo from the direct family of Height Of Fashion.
Minzaal is set to be represented by six first-crop lots in Book 1, with more set to follow in Book 2.
The Derrinstown Stud-based sire has everything in his favour to deliver sharp and speedy performers in his own image.
He won the Gimcrack Stakes and finished a close third in the Middle Park Stakes at two, ran third in the British Champions Sprint at three, and streaked clear in a red-hot renewal of the Haydock Sprint Cup at four.
Minzaal is the highest rated son of popular commercial sire Mehmas and hails from a family of prolific winners, many of them classy, including Group scorers Aim For The Top, Bankable and Cheshire.
Between the two young stallions, one or both will be represented by offspring at Arqana August Sale, Goffs Premier Sale, Tattersalls Somerville Sale and Goffs Orby Sale with more catalogues set to be released in due course.
